BBDO Chairman & CCO Explains Why Desperation Is the Friend of Creativity

Co-host Brad Forsythe interviews David Lubars, Chairman and Chief Creative Officer of BBDO North America. David Lubars began his career in 1981 and has since won every major creative award in the world several times over, including a coveted Cannes Titanium Lion, 17 Cannes Lions and the Emmy three times for Best TV Commercial in America. Before joining BBDO, David was President of Fallon Worldwide and Executive Creative Director of Fallon North America where he oversaw famous work for Citibank, Lee Jeans, Starbucks, BMW, and United Airlines among others. Since joining BBDO in September 2004, the agency has made a considerable transformation. Last year, the agency was named agency of the year by all of the leading trade publications based on BBDO’s record-setting new business performance. Some of these new accounts include eBay, E*TRADE FINANCIAL, Levitra, Lowe’s, Mitsubishi and Motorola, among others. David’s work has been written about in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and TIME Magazine, and has appeared on the cover of Archive magazine twice.

For entertaining advice join hosts, Ray Schilens and Brad Forsythe, for a lively and informative discussion.
