TVB President Says TV Is Most Expensive But Most Reliable to Move Product

Co-host Brad Forsythe interviews Chris Rohrs, president of the Television Bureau of Advertising (TVB).  Chris Rohrs joined TVB as president on January 1, 2000. He came to the association from his post as vice president, sales and marketing for Post-Newsweek Stations, Inc., a position he had held since April 1998. He previously served as vice president and general manager at WFSB-TV/Hartford for nine years. From 1980-1989, he held various positions at WDIV-TV/Detroit, including vice president of marketing and station manager (March 1988-July 1989), vice president and general sales manager (September 1983-March 1988), local sales manager (April 1981-September 1983), and national sales manager (July 1980-April 1981).  Mr. Rohrs began his career as an account executive for Blair Radio in 1972 before moving to the TV rep business with TeleRep, where he held sales and research management positions. The not-for-profit Television Bureau of Advertising is the trade association of local television broadcasters. Its members include television broadcast groups, advertising sales reps, and more than 500 individual television stations.
